Football game Friday night: The Monroe Woodbury High School football team is playing Cornwall at Cornwall on Friday, October 1st at 7:30pm. We're told the MW football team is a powerhouse and is likely to roll over Cornwall but it should be a good game nevertheless. Captain's Table remains the meeting place for Friday night starting at around 5:30. Those interested in going to the game can leave from there.

 

   

Shirts (Tshirts ($15) , Sweatshirts($28) , Golf Shirts ($28) are available. Please order by sending an email to shirts@mw35th.com (john rumsey). The profits will be used to pay for miscellaneous expenses such as having photos developed or made available by download from the website. If you order shirts in advance we should have them for you at Captain's Table so you'll be able to wear them to the football game, golf outing or school tour. Please indicate shirt size.

Those going on the golf outing are requested to meet at the Central Valley Golf Course Club House at 9:00am Saturday morning. You will join your partners and competitors for a strategy breakfast prior to the 10:00am tee times.

The tour of the school we attended begins at 11:30 and goes as long as it takes ... likely an hour to an hour and a half. Meet other tour'ists at the entrance to the school a little before 11:30 a.m.

Lunch options: People who are staying at the Arden House will have the option to order in advance (at checkin) a boxed lunch ($12 per) to take with them to eat following the tour. Those who are not staying at Arden House may also be able to order a boxed lunch in advance from Arden House ... please email us at reunion@mw35th.com if you would be interested in ordering a boxed lunch from them.

Other options for lunch include the food courts at Woodbury Commons, the Gasho in Highland Mills (which on a recent visit proved quite satisfying), fastfood restaurants in Monroe or in the new (ish) Home Depot / Walmart mall across from the quickway from the state troopers barracks.

At 3:00 pm at Arden House, the movie "The Graduate" will be shown in the theatre room.

The bar on Saturday will open at 4:00pm and the cocktail party will begin at 6:00pm.

On Sunday the hike to the mountain lake will begin at 10:30am. Again Arden Hill overnighters can request a boxed lunch ($12.00) at checkin for Sunday. Those not staying at Arden House but planning to participate in the hike may be able to order boxed lunches ..please email us at reunion@mw35th.com if you would be interested in ordering a boxed lunch from them.

Directions to Arden House

FROM NEW YORK CITY
1. Take the George Washington Bridge to N.J. - use the upper level*
2. Take the 1st exit on right - Palisades Parkway North.
3. Continue on the Palisades Parkway North for approximately 35 miles to exit # 18. This is a left side exit.
4. Proceed to the traffic circle. (1/4 mile) Proceed around circle to the 2nd exit, follow sings for Route 6 and Central Valley.
5. Proceed over the mountain. Bear left at the top of the mountain and follow signs for Route 6 and Central Valley. Follow Route 6 down the mountain, exit at Suffern/Newburgh sign, to the traffic light.
6. Make a left at the traffic light, proceed south for ½ mile to entrance for Arden House.
7. Make a left on to Arden House Road (note street sign) at Nepera Chemical and proceed up the mountain, 4 miles (stay on paved road).
8. Approximate Driving Time - 1 Hour.
